Laura
(Deputy)
Laura is a qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner who joined St. Peter’s Pre-School in January 2014. She has many years of experience working with young children and previously spent six years at a private day nursery.
Emma
(Administrator)
Emma first joined St. Peter’s in 2017 as a parent volunteer on the committee. She has since taken on the role of Administrator, working closely with both the staff team and committee to ensure that all administrative duties, including the Early Years grants are completed efficiently. Before joining St. Peter’s, Emma worked as a Post Office Clerk before taking time away from work to raise her three boys.
Tina
(Supervisor and SENCo)
Tina ran a toddler group for three years before joining St. Peter’s Pre-School in 2007, gaining her childcare qualifications and other relevant training along the way. She achieved her Level 3 qualification in 2009 and became our SENCo in 2010. Alongside this, she completed a diploma in child psychology, graduating with distinction. Tina also holds a speech therapy qualification, has undertaken ASD training, and achieved a Level 4 SENCo qualification.
Charlotte
(Deputy)
Charlotte is a qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner who joined St. Peter’s Pre-School in October 2017. She brings over 15 years of childcare experience, having worked in nursery settings, as a childminder, and by running her own toddler group.
Liz
(Volunteer)
Liz kindly volunteers one day a week, supporting the children’s learning through play. She has been a dedicated volunteer at St. Peter’s Pre-School since 1988, making her one of our longest-serving team members. In addition to her work with us, Liz also supports children at Nettlebed Primary School, helping them develop their literacy skills.
The Committee
The Pre-School is managed by a voluntary committee of parents, with all members elected at the Annual General Meeting held each September. The committee is responsible for regulatory compliance, budget management, fundraising, recruitment, event organisation, and ensuring that the Pre-School meets all legal requirements.
The committee for 2025/2026 is:
Chairperson - Christine Evans
Christine serves as the Chairperson overseeing meetings and supporting staff to ensure the smooth operation of the setting.
Secretary - Alicia Cassidy (EY2 pending)
As Secretary, Alicia meticulously records meeting minutes and offers crucial support to the administrator.
Treasurer - Robin Evans
Robin manages all financial matters related to the preschool.
Tina Collins - (Supervisor)
Continually updates the committee on daily preschool activities and compliance with relevant legislation.
Alice Panter - (Parent Representative)
Facilitates effective communication between parents and Tina, fostering a productive two-way information exchange.
Laura Lane & Charlotte Smith (Staff Representatives)
Advises the committee on any staffing matters that may arise.
Prue Shepherd - (Health & Safety Officer)
Ensures the well-being of all individuals at the preschool by addressing any health and safety concerns.
Revd Steve Newbold, Liz Barry & Jenny Obin (PCC Representatives)
Championing and fostering a Christian ethos in our preschool community.
Fundraising Committee
Consists of passionate volunteers who work to organise fundraising events and secure grants, all aimed at enhancing the development of our children and preschool.
